Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov, during a press conference , burst out with unsubstantiated accusations against Ukraine. In his opinion, she is preparing to detonate a "dirty bomb" and blame Russia for this. For the second day in a row, all Russian officials have been talking about this, referring to unnamed “sources”.
For greater persuasiveness, Lavrov recalled the massacre in Ukrainian Bucha, which he still calls a “provocation”:
“For example, the well-known provocation in Bucha. It was at the end of March this year. Since then, we have repeatedly appealed to anyone who can help, asking for information about the names of people who fell victim. Their bodies were shown to the whole world as "evidence of the atrocities" of the Russian military. A month ago, I publicly appealed to UN Secretary-General António Guterres to obtain a list of these individuals. No reaction. More evidence of how “transparent” Ukraine is and how much it has “nothing to hide.”
Lavrov is really right about one thing: there is no final list of those who died in Bucha yet. There are so many victims that both searches and identification continue to this day. For example, as of September 13, according to the press service of the Kiev region police, 422 civilians were found killed (plus those who died during the occupation from other causes: as of August 8, there were 39 such people).
As for the rest, the Russian minister, as always, is lying. For example, the Buchanskaya ritual service published lists of the dead . It was at the end of April, less than a month after the Ukrainians entered the city abandoned by the Russian occupiers. In addition, there is an unofficial Telegram channel “Dead on the territory of the Buchansky district” (“Dead on the territory of the Buchansky district”), where activists publish photos of the bodies found and their data (for example, a passport photo) so that their relatives can identify them. This is how it became known about the death of a distant relative of the politician Alexei Navalny – Ilya Navalny. The Buchansk City Council, in a commentary to the Ukrainian project StopFake, confirmed the existence of a verified list with the data of the dead. They also noted that it is available to everyone upon request in the City Council itself.
