The co-owner of the S7 Group air group, Tatyana Fileva, resigned as the company's CEO and "temporarily left Russia." This was reported by RBC with reference to sources close to the air carrier, the information was confirmed by the press secretary of the company Tamara Nikiforova.
According to Nikiforova, from October 21, Dmitry Kudelkin, who has served as First Deputy CEO of S7 Group since 2021, has become the new head.
Fileva temporarily left Russia, as she previously had plans to get an education abroad, the newspaper notes. The S7 press service does not comment on the information. Nikiforova claims that Fileva, as a shareholder, will continue to take part in "solving the strategic issues of the holding."
S7 Group is the largest private Russian air group. Vladislav Filev owns 49.93% of its shares, 25.03% each – to the daughters of a businessman: Tatyana and Maria. Tatyana Fileva has been with the company for more than ten years, and in 2019 she headed the board of directors of S7 Airlines. Prior to that, she was responsible for strategic development, commercial unit, revenue management, sales, loyalty program.
The Russian aviation industry has faced very serious pressure due to the sanctions of Western countries, the number of routes for airlines has sharply decreased, and the travel time for some destinations has increased significantly. Companies have to revise the supply chains for servicing the liners, or even completely dismantle some foreign ships for spare parts.
