Russia shelled Kharkiv and Dnepropetrovsk regions – authorities

On the night of October 25, Russia continued shelling Ukrainian territory. The shelling of cities was reported by the authorities of the Kharkov and Dnepropetrovsk regions.

At night, Kupyansk, Volchansk and the settlements of Kupyansky, Chuguevsky, Kharkov, Bogodukhovsky and Izyumsky districts were shelled in the Kharkiv region, the head of the regional military administration (OVA) Oleg Sinegubov said in Telegram. According to him, in Kupyansk, as a result of a missile attack, three victims were hospitalized, and an administrative building was damaged. Presumably, the shelling was carried out from the S-300 air defense system. The head of the administration published a photo of the damaged buildings.

According to the regional Center for Emergency Medical Aid, a 36-year-old tractor driver was hospitalized with a wound in the Bogodukhovsky district. Sinegubov added that during the day the State Emergency Service of Ukraine neutralized 455 explosive objects.

In the Dnipropetrovsk region, Nikopol, Marganets and Mirovskaya community were attacked using Grads and kamikaze drones, said the head of the local OVA, Valentin Reznichenko.

“The Russians again terrorized the Nikopol region all night. They attacked with Grads, heavy artillery and kamikaze drones. Three communities fell into enemy fire – Nikopol, Marganets and Mirovskaya. Initially, no people were hurt. Houses, cars, a food factory and water pipes were damaged.”

Earlier, The Insider published a joint investigation with Bellingcat and Der Spiegel, which for the first time reported who exactly was aiming missiles at civilian targets in Ukraine. The publications revealed a secret unit within the Main Computing Center (MCC) of the Russian Armed Forces that determines flight missions for high-precision missiles, and identified 30 military engineers, most of them young men and women with a background in information technology and even in the development of computer games. The details of their calls, compared with shelling, confirm their involvement in the killing of civilians in Ukraine. At the same time, in personal telephone conversations with The Insider, they denied involvement in the shelling of Ukraine, one of them introduced himself as a pig farm worker, and another employee as the owner of a flower shop.
