The Armed Forces of Ukraine fired at the headquarters of the Kadyrov regiment in a school building in the Kherson region, Ukrainian and oppositional Chechen Telegram channels report this. According to the 1Adat channel, Kadyrov’s men from the special forces of the Chechen National Guard “Neftepolk” came under attack, killing about 100 people. At the same time, the head of the Kherson OVA Serhiy Khlan reported 40 dead and 60 seriously injured.
The school, where the Kadyrovites are housed, is located in the village of Kairi, Kherson region, writes "Unian". 1Adat published a correspondence with a person who says in Chechen that the strike was made from a HIMARS installation.
Also, many Telegram channels have published a video in which some soldiers, sitting in a destroyed building, in the middle of the rubble, speak Chechen, exalt Allah and examine each other's wounds.
"Neftepolk" was created as part of the Chechen Ministry of Internal Affairs in the early 2000s in order to guard the Chechen oil pipelines, it was led by a State Duma deputy, Kadyrov's right hand, Adam Delimkhanov (known for calls to cut off the heads of members of the Yangulbaev family of oppositionists). The second “oil regiment” began to be recruited in October 2022 on the basis of the National Guard, Kadyrov himself reported about this. At night, shortly after the attack by the Armed Forces of Ukraine, the head of Chechnya, Ramzan Kadyrov , published a voice message on his Telegram channel, in which he stated that it was not a special operation, but a war “between the Orthodox, Muslims and Satanists.” He also expressed dissatisfaction with the fact that the Ukrainians “are not shy, they shoot at civilians” even after Putin declared martial law in the occupied territories, while the Russian military responded, according to Kadyrov, weakly.
“We used to say that we are conducting a special military operation on the territory of Ukraine, but already a war is going on on our territory … I am very unhappy with this. We have already declared martial law [in the occupied territories]. But they [Ukrainians] are not shy, they shoot. We, in my opinion, weakly answer. If a shell flew in our direction, in our region, we need to wipe out [Ukrainian] cities from the ground so that the distant horizon can be seen. To understand that you can’t even think of shooting in our direction. Europe has no strength, what can they do? Will they send their elgebateshniks to fight with us? They say that America sent its division of paratroopers to Europe. Well, yes, we will have new weapons, armored vehicles, let them send them. We have warriors waiting for them to come and there will be close fights."
Kadyrov acknowledged that mobilization in Chechnya is not going as well as he would have liked. According to Kadyrov, everyone should go to the front, regardless of age.
“We are almost a million 600 thousand. Of these, at least 300-400 thousand [could volunteer]. Age doesn't matter, you still have to be in the military registration and enlistment offices! You have to stand in line."
