It became known the name of another dead sailor who served on the cruiser "Moskva". This is a native of the Rostov village Vladimir Kovalev. His fellow villagers told about the death, discovered the Telegram channel “We Can Explain”.
Kovalev (pictured in the center) was mentioned as a member of the Moskva crew at the White Cranes Day memorial event – he was held on October 25 in the village of Melikhovskaya in the cultural and educational center in honor of fellow countrymen who died in different wars. The post appeared in the group of the center.
The following was written about the death of a military man: “Vladimir Kovalev served on the missile cruiser Moskva. The cruiser sank on April 14, 2022 after being hit by the Neptune missile system of the Ukrainian Naval Forces.
The official version of the Russian Ministry of Defense, we recall, is that the cruiser sank due to "detonation of ammunition in a storm." Officially, the department acknowledged the death of only one crew member, 27 people were allegedly missing. Another 396 crew members, according to these data, allegedly managed to be evacuated from the cruiser to Sevastopol. Many parents still do not know anything about the fate of their children.
At the end of August, "We Can Explain" became aware of the deceased midshipman Dmitry Cheremiskin. The channel reported that the Ministry of Defense confirmed the sailor's death to his wife. He was listed as missing after the sinking of the cruiser.
Earlier it was reported about the death of senior warrant officer Ivan Vakhrushev, sailors-conscripts Leonid Savin, Ivan Frantin, Yegor Shkrebets, as well as captain-lieutenant Valery Krivorog.
