The United States imposed sanctions against the son of the ex-Prosecutor General of the Russian Federation Chaika, singer Jasmine and her husband Ilan Shor

The United States has expanded the list of persons subject to sanctions. The younger son of ex-Prosecutor General Yuri Chaika Igor, singer Jasmine (Sarah Shor), her husband, Moldovan politician and millionaire Ilan Shor, and five other Russians were included in the register of the US Treasury.

At the same time, the Cyrillic name YFYaAU9 is also noted in the sanctions list of Igor Chaika – under this ncode he began to appear in Rosreestr after the publication of an investigation by Alexei Navalny dedicated to the corrupt activities of the ex-Prosecutor General and his sons. In 2016, the names in the extracts from Rosreestr for real estate owned by Artem and Igor Chaika were hidden by the ciphers LSDUZ and YFYaU9.

US sanctions have also been imposed against the former leader of the Democratic Party of Moldova, oligarch Vlad Plahotniuc.

Over the past month, the pro-Russian Moldovan Shor party has been regularly staging protests in Chisinau, demanding the resignation of the country's current leadership, early elections, and an agreement with the Russian Federation to reduce gas prices. At the last action on Sunday, the protesters even adopted a "declaration" on the establishment in Moldova of "a people's government, a people's tribunal and a people's shield." It is reported by NewsMaker.

Earlier, according to European Pravda, the Anti-Corruption Prosecutor's Office of Moldova published evidence that people participate in protests against the authorities for money.

The leader of the party, Ilan Shor, is now involved in criminal proceedings, in particular, on the so-called “theft of a billion” (in 2014, about $1 billion was illegally withdrawn from three banks, which amounted to more than 20% of Moldova’s GDP), and is abroad.
