Ufa archpriest baptized Russian military in body bags

Ufa archpriest Viktor Ivanov, who came to Ukraine in the war zone “to support” Russian soldiers, baptized them in packages for cargo 200. He told about this on his VKontakte page. Judging by the geotag of the photo he published, it happened in the Zaporozhye region.

According to Ivanov, the military was not embarrassed by anything. The men themselves approached him with a request to be baptized. It was not possible to find basins for baptism, which is why packages were used.

“Are there basins? I asked hopefully, realizing that such luxury is not found in the trenches, but who knows, what if! – Let's eat! – with the same hope answered the burly man. But, as expected, not even one basin was found. – Do you have plastic bags? I asked with more hope. – Let's find it! The men hurried to look. In the end, everything was found, ”said Ivanov.

As a result, the black plastic bags that were intended for cargo 200 were used "as baptismal vessels." “Everyone understands where they are and what can happen, therefore they treat it as a given, a reality where the paraphernalia of death does not lead people into a stupor,” the archpriest assures.

“They put an ammunition box on a fallen tree, laying it inside with a plastic bag. A large Kazan Icon of the Mother of God was installed on the same tree. For the legs they brought a cardboard box, which was also laid with a bag. “Yes,” I said philosophically, “I baptized in basins, but in plastic bags for the first time!” – says the post of the priest.

According to him, this baptism had its own symbolism: “In baptism, a person dies to sin, and they were baptized in 'burial' bags; a new man is born – a warrior of Christ, and they put their hands into the ammunition box. The grace of God for Christians is like ammunition for soldiers. And the more the better! This is how two new Christians, Sergius and John, were born.”
