During the war in Ukraine, at least 430 children were killed, more than 822 were injured of varying severity. It is reported by the Prosecutor General's Office of Ukraine.
This data is not final, as the count of victims continues in the temporarily occupied and recently liberated territories, as well as in areas of active hostilities.
Most children were affected in:
- Donetsk region – 419,
- Kharkiv – 260,
- Kievskaya – 116,
- Nikolaevskaya – 77,
- Zaporozhye – 70,
- Chernihiv – 68,
- Luhansk – 64,
- Kherson – 58,
- Dnepropetrovsk – 31.
Also, due to Russian bombing and shelling, 2,677 educational institutions in Ukraine were damaged. 331 of them are completely destroyed.
