At the Upper Lars checkpoint, four girls from Dagestan are being held by force to be extradited to their relatives

In Upper Lars, four girls from Dagestan, Khadizhat and Patimat Khizrivykh, Aminat Gazimagomedova and Patimat Magomedova, are being held by force at a checkpoint while crossing the border with Georgia. The first two girls are sisters, the second two are second cousins. All of them are adults, according to the SOS Crisis Group, which is trying to help the girls.

First, the Russian border guards asked if their relatives were aware of the attempt to leave the country, after which they said that their relatives had already left for them, and took away their passports. At the same time, they do not confirm the actual detention.

Leysan Mannapova, a lawyer who arrived at the scene, was told by the checkpoint staff that all the sisters had “debts” and a travel ban, but after providing certificates that there were no such debts, they nevertheless admitted that they were waiting for a decision from the management, calling what was happening a “filtration measure”.

It was from relatives who demanded religious obedience from them and punished them with physical torture for every minor offense that the girls tried to escape. In addition, it is reported that girls were female circumcised as children. The girls waited until the youngest of the four turned 18 and fled. The last point in the decision was that one of them wanted to marry a cousin.

Where the relatives have such connections is not yet clear. As The Insider was told in SK SOS with reference to the words of the girls themselves, the father of Khadizhat and Patimat – Gadzhimurad Khizriev – "has connections with the Kadyrovites and often travels to Chechnya."

The Telegram channel “Caution, the news” managed to contact the father. He demanded that journalists no longer call him, and said that they should worry not about the girls, but about the family they "brought down". Journalists also write that a protocol on petty hooliganism is being drawn up against lawyer Leysan Mannapova, because she allegedly swears with border guards. The lawyer was also informed that the relatives had filed a complaint about the kidnapping, and the sisters were on the list of missing persons.

Updated 20:14. The SOS Crisis Group reported that relatives arrived at the checkpoint, they were allowed to see the girls, despite the latter's requests not to do so.

Updated 20:26. In a conversation with journalist Svetlana Anokhina, the father of the Khizrievs, Khadizhat and Patimat Gadzhimurad, said that he would return the girls, who, in his opinion, had been “turned brain”. At the same time, the man promised that “no hair would fall off the heads of the sisters” and that he would allow them to live the way they want. The father denied ever hitting his daughters, despite having pictures of the beatings. At the same time, the man could not explain to his interlocutor why he kept his daughters locked up at home and why he did not want to let his adult children go, reports the Crisis Group.
