“We will not return to Dagestan, we will kill ourselves.” Two commissioners from the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Dagestan were sent to the sisters “detained” on the border with Georgia

Tamerlan Tsgoev, Commissioner for Human Rights of North Ossetia, arrived at the Upper Lars checkpoint on the border with Georgia, where at the time of publication more than eight hours were being held by four girls who had fled violence from their relatives. He stated that the girls were accused by their relatives of stealing 50,000 rubles. This is the third legend of the authorities about why they were detained by border guards and their passports were taken away from four.

Also, the Commissioner for Human Rights of North Ossetia received a call from the Commissioner for Human Rights of Dagestan, Jamal Aliyev, who said that he had also joined the situation, writes the SOS Crisis Center, which helps girls. They were also joined by the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Dagestan, which arrived in another region to "resolve the issue" with the return of four adult girls to their relatives.

The girls beg not to extradite them to their relatives who arrived at the checkpoint and say that otherwise they will kill themselves, they told representatives of the SOS Crisis Center. The girls also wrote down an appeal to everyone who could somehow help them.

"Don't give us away, please. The staff of the checkpoint called relatives, so far, supposedly, we are guarded by the police. We are kept in a room that looks like a cell, relatives are waiting outside. They won't leave from there. At first, the UPP employees said that we had a debt, we proved the opposite. They said that the filtration procedure. And now the commissioner for human rights in North Ossetia has arrived and he generally says that we allegedly carried out the theft and all four of us are wanted. This is not true, this is nonsense, no one stole anything. If we are handed over to our relatives, we will be finished, we will be killed. We beg you, don't let them take us."

The relatives who arrived on camera stated that they had never beaten the girls. With the permission of the detainees, the center published photographs showing the beatings.

At 00:11 (Moscow time) it became known that all four with a lawyer were able to cross the border of Russia and are now on “neutral territory”, however, according to the center, the relatives from whom the girls are fleeing asked their acquaintances to “meet” them. So the risks are still high.

At 01:10 (Moscow time), the Crisis Center reported that the girls were able to enter the territory of Georgia, but their relatives were waiting for them at the exit from the checkpoint.

Recall that the detention of Khadizhat and Patimat Khizrivykh, Aminat Gazimagomedov and Patimat Magomedov became known on the evening of October 29. The first two girls are sisters, the second two are second cousins. All of them are adults. Where the relatives of the girls have such connections is not yet clear. As The Insider was told in SK SOS with reference to the words of the girls themselves, the father of Khadizhat and Patimat – Gadzhimurad Khizriev – "has connections with the Kadyrovites and often travels to Chechnya."
