Between 6 and 8 maritime drones participated in the attack on Russian ships and they hit at least three ships, GeoConfirmed analysts say.
The experts analyzed photo and video footage of eyewitnesses and concluded that unmanned surface vehicles attacked the Admiral Grigorovich-class frigate, which owns the current flagship of the Russian fleet in the Black Sea, Admiral Makarov, and also damaged the Natya-class minesweeper called " Ivan Golubets.
According to analysts, the drones were close to at least four Russian ships.
The Russians tried to hit the attacking drones, including from a helicopter.
According to experts, two marine drones are most likely shot down. In one video, an unmanned surface craft strikes the Admiral Makarov frigate and filming is interrupted, likely due to an explosion.
In another video, an unmanned surface vehicle is being attacked by the minesweeper Ivan Golubets.
In the third video, an unmanned surface vehicle is attacking a third ship.
On October 29, Russia accused Ukraine of attacking ships of the Russian Black Sea Fleet at the naval base in Sevastopol. The local "governor" Mikhail Razvozhaev said that the air defense systems in Sevastopol repelled drone attacks for several hours, all of them were allegedly shot down, and a surface drone was also destroyed, there was no damage.
