Russia is using Moldovan airspace to attack Ukraine with missiles and drones. This was stated by the representative of the command of the Air Force of the Armed Forces of Ukraine Yuri Ignat in an interview with Fakti ICTV.
“It is not the first time that the enemy uses the airspace of the sovereign state of the Republic of Moldova for air terrorism against Ukraine, for attacks on Ukraine. In particular, along our western and southwestern borders," he said.
According to him, the missile that fell today on the territory of the Moldovan village of Naslavcha was shot down by Ukrainian air defense. Ignat said that she flew to the territory of Ukraine, but does not exclude that fragments could fall on the territory of a neighboring state.
The Ukrainian military specified that Russia uses Kalibr sea-based cruise missiles for its attacks. In the case of Naslavcha, the Kh-101 and Kh-555 air-launched missiles. Ignat also said that the Armed Forces of Ukraine had spotted Russian Orlan-10 drones several times on the territory of Moldova, 5-10 km from the border with Romania.
A rocket in the village of Naslavcha on the border with the Vinnitsa region of Ukraine was shot down on the morning of October 31. As a result, no one was hurt, windows were broken in some houses. The Newmaker publication, citing the Ministry of Defense of Moldova , writes that Russian missiles did not violate the country's airspace.
