Citizens who were previously subject to mobilization began to be released from Russia – Baza

The Russians who were subject to mobilization were removed from the base, which was used by the border guards. Men began to be let out of Russia. This is reported by the Baza Telegram channel.

The lists of those "not allowed to leave" at the borders began to operate almost immediately after the announcement of mobilization. The base contained citizens – mostly those who served or graduated from the military department – potentially subject to mobilization. If such a person tried to leave Russia, he was given a refusal paper at the checkpoint. According to the publication, now information about such people has been removed from the database.

On October 28, at a meeting with President Vladimir Putin, Russian Defense Minister Sergei Shoigu reported that measures to implement a "partial" mobilization had been completed. According to the minister, 300,000 people have been drafted into the army, no other mobilization tasks are planned, and military registration and enlistment offices will continue to recruit exclusively from volunteers and candidates for contract service.

Please note that the law and the decree on mobilization require its announcement, but the completion or termination of mobilization is in no way regulated by normative acts, human rights activist Pavel Chikov points out , specifying that the regional authorities do not have any authority to complete the mobilization, although they assist in its announcement. According to him, the need for a new wave of conscription may arise at any moment. Chikov emphasizes that we need to wait for Vladimir Putin's decree, and before that, the "partial" mobilization and legal regime announced by him are preserved.
