Navalny issued instructions for prisoners on how to improve working conditions in the colony

Opposition leader Alexei Navalny issued instructions for Russian prisoners on how to improve working conditions in the colony. It was published in the Telegram channel of the Promzona trade union founded by him.

“The frantic seamstress (that is, I) did not at all leave the warpath for the cause of the working class. Here it is, straight from the punishment cell where I have been living for the last months – an instruction for my colleagues, convicts and sewing convicts, ”Navalny wrote .

“It will seem to some that it’s some kind of nonsense, they are trying to get a chair with a back, but here are the numbers for you: there are 338,000 people in the colonies now, 80,000 of them are employed, 50 percent of the working prisoners are sewing shops. Thus, right now, about 40,000 people are hunching over a sewing machine for 500 rubles a month, sitting on a stool, which directly violates labor safety regulations.

I have achieved better working conditions for the hard workers of my workshop and with the help of FBK lawyers I will achieve the same for the rest. Water wears away a stone, and, as always, the more people participate in a collective action, the more effective it is. You can also help and send this instruction, a link to the post in the telegram “Industrial Zones” and to our telegram bot @zajava_bot to your fellow prisoners or their relatives. Alas, almost everyone has these now,” the oppositionist said in a statement.

In the instructions, Navalny invites prisoners to write statements on their own or with the help of lawyers from the Promzona, who can be contacted via the Zayava Telegram bot.

“Will you be beaten or tortured for making a statement?” “Think carefully. We don't want you to get hurt. It will be sad to sit on a new chair, but with broken kidneys, ”the instructions say.

Navalny is serving a term in IK-6 in the Vladimir region. In August of this year, he founded the trade union "Promzona" for prisoners and employees of the colonies.
