Residents of the villages of Yakutia were not able to take part in online voting for holding the Internet to them. It's because they don't have internet. About it writes the local edition Sakhaday.
Voting for remote villages and towns was launched on the Gosuslug website: they determine where the Internet should be installed in the first place. But residents of remote villages in Yakutia complained that they could not even participate in the project, because the site was not loading due to insufficient speed.
“People from small villages write that this is some kind of mockery. They write: how to vote for the Internet without the Internet? They say: to vote, you need to have the Internet,” said Elena Golomareva, deputy of the Legislative Assembly.
It was possible to use another method – to send a letter to Moscow before November 26th. Only the post office in some villages also does not work.
More than 7,000 residents have already taken part in the voting in the region, the press service of the head and government of the region reports. And the Ministry of Digital Development promises that, following its results, 1,800 small settlements throughout Russia will be connected to 4G.
