Ukraine: Russian military build an unknown facility at the Zaporozhye nuclear power plant

The Russian military is building an unknown structure on the territory of the Zaporozhye nuclear power plant. This was reported by the State Inspectorate for Nuclear Regulation of Ukraine.

According to the agency, the construction was launched on the site of the storage of spent nuclear fuel, which is one of the seven nuclear installations of nuclear power plants.

“Such actions are a violation of the license for the right to carry out activities at the stage of the life cycle “Operation of the Zaporozhye NPP nuclear facility” and a violation of clause 1.9 of the Requirements for modifications of nuclear facilities and the procedure for assessing their safety, approved by order of the State Committee for Nuclear Regulation of Ukraine dated January 10, 2005 No. 4," the statement said.

At the same time, it is noted in the message, the station employees are not allowed to the place of work.

On March 4, Russia seized the Zaporozhye nuclear power plant.
