Activist Mikhail Krieger was charged with justifying terrorism. His apartment is being searched – Avtozak Live

In relation to Mikhail Krieger, who was detained in Moscow today, a criminal case was opened to justify terrorism (Article 205.2 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation). According to the Avtozak Live Telegram channel, he managed to tell his daughter that a post on Facebook for 2020 became the reason for initiating a criminal case. What post is in question is still unknown. The activist's apartment is being searched.

On the afternoon of November 3, Krieger was detained by riot police in Moscow. The arrest took place in one of the Moscow cafes. “People in balaclavas arrived, put him on the floor, and took him away,” relatives who were with him said.

Krieger is a former deputy of the Tagansky District Council of Moscow. Since the early 1990s, he has been engaged in political activism: pickets in defense of political prisoners, speaks out in support of the politician Alexei Navalny and his brother Oleg, and is on duty on the Bolshoi Moskvoretsky Bridge, where opposition leader Boris Nemtsov was killed. Since 2014, Krieger has been organizing rallies against the war in Ukraine. In 1991, during the August events, he and his wife Vera defended the White House.
