In Israel, the counting of votes in the elections has officially ended. Netanyahu’s bloc wins majority

The CEC of Israel announced the completion of the counting of votes cast in the elections to the 25th Knesset. According to RIA Novosti, after the final count, the bloc of former Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu received a parliamentary majority of 64 votes.

According to the data, after processing all the ballots, Likud receives 32 seats, the ruling Yesh Atid party under the leadership of Prime Minister Yair Lapid wins 24 seats in the parliament of the new convocation, the far-right Religious Zionism bloc becomes the third largest faction with 14 deputies .

Netanyahu can form a right-wing coalition with his traditional partners, based on a parliamentary majority of 64 parliamentary votes, the bloc of his opponents – 46 votes, and 10 – the Arab parties.

Israeli Prime Minister Lapid has already called opposition leader Netanyahu and congratulated him on his election victory.

Former Prime Minister Netanyahu, the longest-serving post, will again head the government after a year spent in opposition. In relations with Russia and Ukraine, Israeli politics are unlikely to change, despite the warm relations between Putin and Netanyahu, say experts interviewed by The Insider.
