Mobilized from Chuvashia, who staged a riot due to lack of payments, demanded that the head of the republic, Oleg Nikolaev, immediately transfer the 400 million rubles promised for the war to them. Now the men are collecting signatures for a collective appeal, reports the Angry Chuvashia Telegram channel.
According to the project, more than 2,000 people are preparing to sign the document. Soldiers demand from Nikolaev to share equally for each 400 million rubles, which he promised to allocate to support the mobilized.
At the same time, according to the Chuvashia Without Censorship Telegram channel, the republic’s Finance Minister Mikhail Nozdryakov does not confirm the allocation of 400 million rubles from the budget. At a meeting on November 2, he said that the region allegedly has 130 million rubles in cash – this a one-time payment to each mobilized even 50 thousand rubles. He allegedly does not know about any 400 million rubles.
A mass riot of those mobilized from Chuvashia took place in early November at a training center in Ulyanovsk due to the lack of promised payments (195,000 rubles). The soldiers recorded on video their claims to the command and authorities:
“Dear citizens of the Russian Federation, the mobilized servicemen of the Chuvash Republic are turning to you! We, risking our own lives, are going to certain death for your safety and peaceful life! Our state refuses to pay us the money in the amount of 195 thousand rubles, which our President Vladimir Vladimirovich Putin promised us! Why then should we go to fight for this state, leaving our families without support?”
The conscripts advised the deputies to “hand over their fucking party cards” and go to war in Ukraine themselves and complained that the authorities “fucked” them.
After that, OMON and the National Guard were pulled into the training center to suppress the riot, but the strike continues to this day.
