The Blueprint: Farfetch leaves Russia

Online clothing store Farfetch is closing its Russian office and laying off all of its employees. The Blueprint writes about this, citing sources in the company.

Farfetch has been operating in Russia since March 2015. In March 2022, the store stopped sending orders to Russia from other countries due to the outbreak of war. At the same time, Russian users could still buy goods that are located within the country. Later, they lost this opportunity as well: information appeared on the store's website that it no longer delivers orders to Russia.

Since the beginning of the war, one after another, the world's largest companies have left Russia. Someone suspended their activities, someone closed forever. In March, ASOS, another popular online clothing store, announced its withdrawal from Russia. In total, according to Yale University, since the beginning of the war, more than 1,000 companies have closed their Russian business.
