A shot at a huntsman during a hunt in the Smolensk region was made by the prefect of the Central Administrative District of Moscow.
On the evening of November 4, Vladimir Goverdovsky was hunting a wild boar in the Smolensk region, in the Vostok hunting farm near the village of Ivino. The hunt was approved. The beast was driven by the huntsman Vasily Andreev. Next to the prefect was also a hunter.
According to Baza’s sources, at about 7 p.m. Goverdovsky saw a wild boar through an optical sight. The hunter also watched the animal through binoculars. At the command of the hunter, Goverdovsky fired from his Blazer carbine. But the bullet ricocheted and hit not the boar, but the local huntsman, 60-year-old Vasily Andreev, who was behind the beast in the bushes, in the line of fire – the bullet hit the huntsman in the right armpit and entered the chest.
Medics rushed to the scene, they tried to resuscitate Andreev, but after 2 hours he died in an ambulance.
According to sources, Vladimir Goverdovsky is currently involved in the case as a witness.
