The likely culprit of the fire at the Polygon cafe returned from Ukraine in August. On August 22, 23-year-old Stanislav Ionkin was wounded during shelling.
According to relatives, Ionkin was carrying ammunition with other servicemen when the shelling began. Stanislav was thrown out of the car and he broke his leg. After that, Ionkin was sent to a hospital in the Astrakhan region, and then he returned to the Kostroma region. For a long time, Stanislav was on sick leave and in early November he went back to the military unit to undergo a medical examination.
Last night he called his family and said that everything was fine with him. Apparently, after talking with them, Ionkin went to a nightclub at the Polygon cafe, where he set off fireworks, which led to a fire.
