During the eight months of the war, the Russian military damaged more than a thousand Ukrainian hospitals. This is reported by the Ministry of Health of Ukraine.

The agency clarifies that we are talking about 1100 medical institutions, 144 of them were destroyed to the ground. Most hospitals were affected in Kharkiv region (249), Donetsk region (210), Mykolaiv region (148) and Kyiv region (121). 95 medical institutions were restored, 204 – partially. According to the Ministry of Health, ₴38 billion will be spent on the restoration of medical facilities.

Russia has been attacking medical institutions in Ukraine since the first days of the war. On March 9, she struck at a maternity hospital in Mariupol. A video released by AP shows the damage – a sinkhole as deep as a two-story house. Five people died, including a pregnant woman and her unborn child. At the same time, Russia continues to claim that it is attacking only the military infrastructure of Ukraine.
