In Ukraine, in the zone of hostilities, during the performance of “pastoral duties”, Archpriest Mikhail Vasilyev died, informs press service of the Russian Orthodox Church.
The Church said that Vasilyev was a participant in many “peacekeeping operations” in the territories of Kosovo, Bosnia, Abkhazia, Kyrgyzstan, the North Caucasus and Syria.
Orthodox magazine “Foma” calls Vasilyev as a “military priest” and claims that he made 11 parachute jumps.
