Since the beginning of the war, many people had to start life from scratch in other countries. But even there they manage to continue to work for the benefit of the forcedly abandoned Russia.
Our hero is Grigory Sverdlin. Since 2011, he has led the public organization Nochlezhka, which helps the homeless. Since 2001, he has been participating in protests and expressing his civic position. Until 2022, it was possible to combine these things, but with the outbreak of the war, I had to choose – either to remain silent or to substitute others.
Grigory did not want to remain silent, and he had to leave his job at Nochlezhka and leave for Georgia. But here, too, he was able to find an opportunity to “strike back against the Russian state” and in a week launched a project to help those who wish to avoid mobilization – from potential soldiers to those who are already at war.
