They tried to make billionaire Sergei Tsikalyuk poorer by 17 million rubles – for not publishing compromising evidence on him. The alleged extortionist, retired colonel and failed publicist Sergei Borisnev, suggested that the head of the Military Insurance Company avoid harsh exposure in his new book.

Colonel and at the same time professor of the Military University of the Ministry of Defense Borisnev wrote a book about the work of the VSK. When it came to the chapter about the head of the insurance company, an ingenious plan was born in his head: to demand 17 million rubles from Tsikalyuk for supposedly available compromising evidence that could get into the pages of reading matter.

Nobody believed Borisnev, but he had to be taught a lesson for extortion. He was detained while receiving an advance payment of 900 thousand rubles. Now Borisnev is under house arrest. And VSK itself continues to insure the military and equipment, though already without a book.
