Journalist Tamerlan Bigaev was arrested in Moscow. He is a suspect in the case of “extortion” from Chemezov

The Tverskoy District Court of Moscow sent journalist Tamerlan Bigaev to a pre-trial detention center, who is a suspect in the case of “extortion” from the head of Rostec, Sergei Chemezov. It is reported by TASS.

Bigaev worked as one of the administrators and editors of the Put Out the Light channel. According to Baza, Bigaev was detained on November 4. Initially, he was called for questioning as a witness, but after the questioning, his status changed to that of a suspect. As the journalist’s colleagues told the Telegram channel, he did not know about any negotiations with Chemezov’s side and did not participate in the transfer of money.

According to investigators, a post was published on the Put Out the Light channel, which was then deleted after an agreement on payment between Chemezov's side and Kirill Sukhanov, Ksenia Sobchak's commercial director.

Earlier, journalist Alexandra Bayazitova was sent under arrest in the same case.

Searches in the criminal case took place at the employees of Ksenia Sobchak. She herself is involved in the case as a witness.
