Supporting the war in Ukraine, rapper Schokk asked for political asylum in Russia, complaining about the persecution in Europe

Rapper Schokk, aka Dima Bamberg (real name Dmitry Ginter), has publicly applied to the administration of the President of Russia with a request for political asylum. The musician with German citizenship claims that in Germany a criminal case has been opened against him for his “public pro-Russian stance and support for the SVO.” He wrote about this in the Telegram channel.

“I, Dmitry Fedorovich Ginter, born on December 11, 1980, turn to you for help. For my public pro-Russian position and support of the SVO, a criminal case was opened against me in Germany. As a German citizen, I can no longer go back there. I publicly supported Russia in 2014 as well, and it cost me my career. Today I am threatened with a real term and, I am sure, a demonstrative public tribunal in the German media. I am asking for political asylum,” writes Ginter.

In a comment to Mash, he said that the case was opened under the article "Approval of war crimes."

“And the editor-in-chief, unfortunately, of the Russian-language BBC, the editor-in-chief of Meduza and the editor-in-chief of Mediazona, ratted on me,” the rapper claims.

Earlier, the 41-year-old musician wrote on social networks that he supports the Russian military "financially and morally." One of the Twitter users drew the attention of local law enforcement agencies to this publication, after which the official police account replied that the post had been sent to the Saxony Criminal Police Department for verification.

“We saved the tweet and sent it to the Saxony Criminal Police Office for review. Thanks for the link!" the police said in a response.

In 2011, the hip-hoper, along with rapper Oksimiron (Miron Fedorov), was a member of the Vagabund label. Bamberg immediately supported the special operation and after February 24 he moved to Moscow. According to Mash, the rapper's visa is about to expire. He has no other citizenship than German.

In his social networks, Bamberg repeatedly spoke insultingly about Ukrainians, called for military strikes on the cities of Ukraine, supported the occupation of Ukrainian territories and called the killings in Bucha a performance.
