The court arrested the alleged culprit of the fire in the Kostroma club “Polygon”, where 13 people died

The Yaroslavl garrison military court arrested for two months 23-year-old soldier Stanislav Ionkin, the alleged perpetrator of the fire at the Polygon nightclub in Kostroma, where 13 people became victims. He was sent to a pre-trial detention center until January 5, TASS reports .

After the fire, criminal cases were initiated on negligently causing death to two or more persons (part 3 of article 109 of the Criminal Code) and on the provision of services that do not meet safety requirements and resulted in the death of two or more persons (part 3 of article 238 of the Criminal Code). On November 6, the Sverdlovsk District Court of Kostroma arrested Natalya Belonogova, the director of the Imperiya company, which was organizing the work of the burned-out club, for two months. She's a suspect under Article 238.

Stanislav Ionkin was detained on November 5, a few hours after the fire at the Polygon nightclub in Kostroma, which killed 13 people. Presumably, he fired a signal pistol during a mass brawl, after which the club started on fire. Ionkin's wife told Nestka that in August he returned from Ukraine, as he was wounded and shell-shocked. In the Kostroma region, her husband underwent a medical examination after hospitalization. Yevgenia Ionkina said that the question of why the serviceman was again sent to serve after a shell shock and injuries should be asked to the military unit.
