The European Commission sent the United States a written demand to change a number of paragraphs of the US Inflation Reduction Act (IRA), which are contrary to WTO rules.
“Either they (the US) will change these points, or we will have to raise this issue at the WTO level, and we will consider retaliatory measures,” said the European Commissioner for the Internal Market.
He said the law, which would allocate $370 billion to bring manufacturing to the US and create jobs there, “violates the rules of fair competition.”
