Governor of Primorsky Krai Oleg Kozhemyako acknowledged the losses in the 155th Separate Guards Marine Brigade during the attack on Ugledar, but assured that previously published data on the loss of 300 people killed, wounded and missing were "significantly exaggerated." The video message was published on his official Telegram channel.
Earlier, the fighters sent him a message, the material from which, as Kozhemyako noted, was transferred to the military prosecutor's office. In their appeal to the governor, the military, among other things, accused Lieutenant General Rustam Muradov, commander of the Eastern Military District and the Vostok group of troops in Ukraine, of failing to plan the operation and of trying to hide the real numbers of casualties. They also demanded to send a commission independent of the Ministry of Defense.
“We contacted our Marine commanders on the front lines. These are the guys who have been in the fighting since the very beginning of the operation. We trust them. From them, information about the battles for Pavlovka is as follows: “We are advancing hard, yes, there are losses, but far from that.” This is not a staff officer speaking, but a combat commander. He stressed that the losses of Primorye are greatly exaggerated! For us, any loss among fellow countrymen is a great loss and pain. We mourn for the dead. And we will help the families and the wounded.”
According to him, the Russian fighters showed “heroism and unparalleled courage” near Pavlovka and inflicted serious damage on the Armed Forces of Ukraine. Kozhemyako promised that an analysis of the situation would be carried out, the competent authorities would give an assessment.
On the evening of November 6, the VGTRK military commander Alexander Sladkov reported on the plight of the 155th Separate Marine Guards Brigade of the Russian Pacific Fleet. According to him, the fighters who were near Pavlovka in the Ugledar direction handed over a letter to Kozhemyako with complaints about the command and with a request to send a commission to the place in order to stop the poorly planned and unprepared attack on the positions of the Armed Forces of Ukraine. Also in the Gray Zone Telegram channel associated with the Wagner PMC, the full text of the letter was published, which states that during the 4 days of the offensive, the 155th brigade lost 300 people killed, wounded and missing, and also lost 50% of equipment.
