The Russian Defense Ministry denied the statements of a number of Russian bloggers allegedly on behalf of the soldiers of the 155th Marine Brigade about “high useless losses in people and equipment”:
The department said that units of the 155th brigade have been conducting effective offensive operations in the Vuglodar direction against the Ukrainian army and foreign mercenaries for more than 10 days, moving forward in the brigade’s responsibility zone – up to 5 km deep into Ukrainian defensive positions.
“Due to the competent actions of unit commanders losses Marines for a given period do not exceed 1% of the combat strength and 7% wounded, a significant part of whom have already returned to duty “
