Svetlana Babayeva, head of the Rossiya Segodnya branch in Simferopol, died in an accident at a training ground from a ricocheted stray bullet fired by another person, her husband said at the farewell ceremony.
According to RIA Novosti a source familiar with the investigation, a stray bullet that ricocheted hit the journalist in the head when Svetlana was in a prone position, performing a military sports shooting exercise.
