TASS: The Ministry of Education is developing a military training course for schools and colleges

The Russian Ministry of Education has begun developing a basic military training course for schools and colleges. TASS writes about this with reference to the response of the department to the head of the Just Russia faction, Sergei Mironov.

According to Deputy Minister of Education Tatyana Vasilyeva, the course of military training will be given 35 hours over five days. Also, the elements of the course will be included in the mandatory part of the school subject "Fundamentals of Life Safety" (OBZh).

In early October, State Duma deputies Yana Lantratova and Vladimir Pavlov proposed to include a module on military and medical training in the life safety course. It was assumed that students in grades 10 and 11 would learn to use the Kalashnikov assault rifle and F-1 and RGD-5 hand grenades.

During the war against Ukraine, the Russian authorities set a course to spread their “values” among not only adults, but also children. So, propaganda “Talk about the Important” appeared in schools – lessons that instilled patriotism and love for Russia in students. At school No. 13 in the Privolnaya village of the Krasnodar Territory, one of these lessons was conducted by a Wagner PMC fighter.
