The President of the World Boxing Council (WBC) announced the exclusion of Russian and Belarusian athletes from the ratings.
The WBC light heavyweight championship belt is owned by Russian Artur Beterbiev (he has a second citizenship – Canada), two more Russians occupy the first lines of the rating in other weights.
The WBC is one of the 4 most prestigious organizations in professional boxing.
