The head of the Oryol region, Andrei Klychkov, in response to complaints from those mobilized about the poor quality of uniforms, recommended that they buy everything themselves, “if someone doesn’t like something.” He stated this during a live broadcast on VKontakte.
“We bought to the maximum what was. There was nothing else. Tens of millions of rubles were spent on this. Now the money has been released. If someone doesn't like it, buy it yourself. You know, you can't please everyone, I guess. Right now, I know, they bought a good unloading. But there is someone who will say that he does not have enough pockets, the color is not right. The taste and color will definitely not be nice, ”he said.
Previously mobilized recorded a video message to Klychkov. They talked about tearing backpacks, wooden berets, rubber boots, blunt knives, with which "if you want to cut yourself, you will not cut yourself." “Complete shit. Chinese lanterns from FixPrice that do not burn, bowlers that break immediately. <…> What they write in the articles is that “the Oryol guys are happy,” but no one here is happy,” the conscripts say and ask where the 33 million rubles that were allegedly allocated for the mobilized have gone.
Klychkov said live on air that he did not understand what kind of torn things the mobilized were showing on the video: “Either what they received, or they tore something of their own. This is on the conscience of those who did it all. <…> The knife is broken, why break it? I can take anything. I’ll tear my tie, I’ll tear my shirt,” the governor said.
Nevertheless, he promised to bring the men hats, scarves and balaclavas.
Klychkov previously stated that the region does not pay the mobilized "lifting" because they will not be able to properly dispose of them: "Giving money is the easiest way." “Of course, it would be possible, probably, in a simple way to say: here are the lifts for you, please, buy what you need yourself. Many regions have done just that. But I strongly doubt that the family of each mobilized person will be able to buy a diesel generator, a chainsaw, a quadrocopter, the cost of which is already under 300,000 rubles,” the governor said.
