Former teacher Ilya Farber was sentenced to 3 years and 2 months in a strict regime colony and a fine of 2,660,000 rubles for setting fire to a military enlistment office.

By message press service of the republican courts, Farber fully admitted his guilt and declaredthat “I wanted to check myself whether I could throw a bottle at the draft board and the recruiting office, when I saw the fire, I realized what I had done, regretted what I had done.”

Farber threw a Molotov cocktail at the recruiting office in the village of Igra in May of this year.

In 2012, the man became famous for his other criminal case – about the repair of the House of Culture headed by him in Ostashkov: the investigation claimed that Farber demanded kickbacks from the contractor, the defense – which, on the contrary, invested his money in repairs. Farber was released in January 2014.
