Kremlin propagandists talk about another atrocity of the Ukrainian military – the execution of a paralyzed old man in the Luhansk region. RIA "Novosti" in the article under the heading "Chernigov militants killed a man because his children went into the militia" writes :
“Militants of the Ukrainian territorial defense battalion “Chernihiv” during a Russian special operation killed an elderly resident of the Voronovo village controlled by Kyiv at that time because his children had gone into the militia in 2014,” said Anna Soroka, adviser to the head of the Luhansk People’s Republic.
She clarified that the deceased man's name was Selikhov Ivan Vladimirovich, he was paralyzed. According to her, the neighbors “surrendered” him to the militants from Chernihiv.
“Because his two sons went to the militia back in 2014, they came and beat him in front of the neighbors. On purpose, the neighbors were held at gunpoint so that they looked at all this. Then brutally, right on the chair on which he spent all the time, since he was paralyzed, they shot him with a machine gun, ”Soroka said.
The adviser to the head of the LPR added that after the murder, the militants did not allow the man to be buried and mocked his remains. She stressed that Selikhov is not the only victim of such aggression.”
Rossiyskaya Gazeta, Life.ru, Telegram channels of “military correspondents” also write about the death of Ivan Selikhov.
In this story, it is not only the senseless cruelty of the fighters of the Armed Forces of Ukraine that is surprising, which can only turn local residents against Ukraine.
Chernihiv region was finally liberated from the invaders by April 7th. The village of Voronovo in the Severodonetsk district of the Lugansk region was captured by Russian troops on May 6. There was not much time left to transfer a battalion of the defense forces from the liberated region there.
There are no traces of Ivan Selikhov anywhere on the Internet, except for stories about his murder. However, an elderly person could well not use the Internet, but the most surprising thing is that not one of the reports about the death of Selikhov is illustrated with his photograph – as if there had never been such a person.
But one of his sons was found on the net. Vladimir Ivanovich Selikhov from the village of Voronovo in the Luhansk region, a Russian citizen, according to the Ukrainian website Myrotvorets, was among the “Wagnerites” detained in Belarus as a result of an unsuccessful attempt by the Ukrainian special services to arrest them; as is known, all of them were allowed to return to Russia. Selikhov's passport was shown on the Belarus 1 TV channel.
His page on the VK social network is open , it is updated irregularly, but over the past year Selikhov only writes that he is doing well, publishes his photos, as well as photos of indoor plants and a used Mercedes S-class car with numbers from the Vladimir region. There is no reaction to the tragic death of his father.
Apparently, the first message about the murder of Ivan Selikhov appeared on September 6 in the Letnab Telegram channel with 1,500 subscribers. But the main forces of the Kremlin propaganda paid attention to this only when the adviser to the head of the “LPR” announced this with a two-month delay. It looks like she also added some nightmarish details. "Letnab" wrote (spelling preserved):
“Ivan Selikhov was shot in the head, and then the neighbors were ordered to bury the corpse.”
Anna Soroka, on the other hand, claims that the murdered old man was not allowed to be buried and his remains were mocked.
In terms of plausibility, the story of the execution of a paralyzed old man, which no one except the Kremlin propagandists noticed, only resembles the famous crucified boy from Slavyansk.
