Plenum of the Supreme Court of the Russian Federation at a meeting on November 8 proposed prohibit people without a legal education from being representatives in court.
Thus, they intend to exclude public defenders from the trials.
The Plenum also proposes to increase the time for the preparation of procedural documents and expand the simplified procedure for debts up to 500 thousand rubles (now – up to 100 thousand). Thus, the defendants now may not know about the lawsuit.
