In Voronezh, a local resident was sentenced to three and a half years in a penal colony for comments on VKontakte
Andrei Biryukov was found guilty under articles on publicly justifying terrorism on the Internet (part 2 of article 205.2 of the Criminal Code) and on incitement to extremist activity (part 2 of article 280 of the Criminal Code), writes OVD-Info.
The first comment contained a statement about the case against Voronezh activist Nadezhda Belova, who was fined in a criminal case for justifying terrorism for commenting on a terrorist attack in the Arkhangelsk FSB. The investigation found that Biryukov allegedly “approved terrorist activities against the authorities and the Russians.”
The second comment, in which the court saw “calls for extremist activity,” contained a wish for the death of Russia and Rusna.
Andrei Biryukov was also banned from administering websites for two years.
