Voting in the midterm elections to the US Congress ended at 08:00 Moscow time.
Provisionally, Republicans hold 219 seats in the House of Representatives, Democrats – 216 (for a majority in the House, 218 seats are required, the total number of seats is 435).
In the elections to the Senate, the result is still equal. Both Republicans and Democrats won 46 seats at the close of voting (there are 100 seats in the Senate).
