Correspondence in messengers becomes the key evidence in almost 20% of criminal cases considered in Russian courts, RTM Group experts told RIA Novosti.
First of all, these are criminal cases on the sale of drugs, bribery or extortion, correspondence from instant messengers is also widely used in civil – especially family – disputes.
To prepare it for presentation in court, you need an expert opinion; for civil proceedings, notarization is also suitable. Strict requirements are imposed on such evidence – the date of creation, changes, form of presentation must be visible, the experts explained.
