Mazda and Isuzu announced the final withdrawal from Russia

The Japanese automotive corporation Mazda Motor has decided to stop its activities in Russia, and the Sollers concern will receive its share in the joint venture in Vladivostok. This was reported by TASS with reference to a Mazda message. The transaction amount was €1.

The concern is going to restart production next year, however, its representatives did not specify which cars the plant will produce.

RBC writes that the popular truck and pickup truck manufacturer Isuzu also presented a plan to leave Russia, although earlier, in October, it denied its intention to curtail its activities in the country. The Isuzu plant in Ulyanovsk has been operating since 2012. In March, production was suspended.

After the start of the military invasion of Ukraine, dozens of foreign companies left Russia or limited their activities, including Toyota, Suzuki, Mercedes Benz, Ford, Honda, Volvo, Nissan, Škoda, Renault, Volkswagen, Hyundai, KIA and other car brands.
