“After about 10 kilometers we turned into the forest. There they were literally driving through fields, through lakes and ravines. We traveled in a small car. It was just me and the driver in the car. We drove very fast: even off-road at 100 kilometers per hour. After 10 kilometers we again went to the track, and it was already the territory of another state. There I turned around to make sure that no one was following us, and exhaled.
When “partial mobilization” was announced in Russia, men began to leave the country en masse. But not everyone was able to leave: some already found out at the border points that the military registration and enlistment offices forbade them to leave. Then someone had to hide inside the country, and the most desperate decided to cross the border in secret, making their way through the forests.
