The owners of Russian Zara and Bershka are thinking about new brand names. “Bershka” can be renamed to Br, and “Zara” – you won’t believe it – to Z.
Apparently, the Lebanese Daher Group followed the path of competitors from Re and Cr: they were inspired by the periodic table, Russian tanks, Zorro and issued preliminary versions of the names in Russia – Br and Z. The task: to leave a hint of a familiar brand, but to convince that it is other. But the same.
According to our information, the Daher brothers only bought Zara, Bershka, Pull&Bear and Stradivarius. But Z and Br will be the first to open – there are no specific dates, but definitely after the New Year. The remaining assets of Indicex, such as Oysho, may be merged into one brand, or even closed altogether. The staff of these brands has either already changed jobs, or sits at home, receives 2/3 of the salary and is waiting for something.
