Twitter’s chief information security officer quit the company

Lea Kissner, head of Twitter security, is stepping down. The specialist announced this on Twitter. He wrote that he made a difficult decision and is very proud of the work done by the teams that are responsible for privacy, security and the work of the IT team.

Kissner noted that he would be watching what happens to the social network next.

According to Reuters, Kissner joined the Twitter team last year as head of privacy and was named chief information security officer in January.

His departure comes in the midst of large-scale layoffs and changes that were announced earlier by the new owner of the social network, Elon Musk.

Musk took over Twitter on October 28, when CEO Parag Agrawal and CFO Ned Segal left the company immediately. Twitter management also sent out an email to employees saying the company is "going through a difficult process of downsizing our workforce across the board" to "put the company on a healthy path." It also says that Twitter offices will be temporarily closed and passes suspended.
