The Chinese Foreign Ministry commented on Biden’s statement that, in his opinion, China does not consider the current relations with Russia as a possible alliance and is trying to maintain a certain distance:
“The Sino-Russian relationship is solid as a rock. As each other’s biggest neighbors and comprehensive strategic partners in the new era, China and Russia have always firmly adhered to the principles of non-alignment with blocs, non-confrontation and non-anti-third parties, as well as the development of bilateral relations and cooperation in various areas on the basis of mutual respect, equality and mutual benefit”
