VTB was the first Russian bank to announce the launch of operations with the digital ruble – the service will become available in test mode to some customers next year.
The bank said that they are already testing the digital ruble with legal entities – they open wallets and generate QR codes to pay for the purchase.
VTB expects that its clients will be able to exchange non-cash rubles for digital ones in 2024.
