President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelensky announced the start of fundraising "for the world's first Ukrainian fleet of sea drones." This is reported in his Telegram channel.
Fundraising launched on the UNITED24 platform. According to Zelensky, drones will protect the waters of the Ukrainian seas and Ukrainian cities from missiles launched by Russia from the fleet. In addition, they should contribute to unblocking the corridor for civilian ships with grain.
“I am sure that millions of people will support this important area of defense of Ukraine. Everyone has already seen how it works,” writes the President of Ukraine. The Ukrainian edition of Politika Strana believes that this may be a reference to the attack on the bay of Sevastopol.
UNITED24 is a global initiative to help Ukraine, created by Zelensky in early May. In October, actor Mark Hamill helped raise funds for 500 drones for Ukraine with her. “Ukraine needs drones.
