“They are hiding, scattered in small groups in the Svatovsky district. After the battle, they were told that you were written off as Soviet equipment. You are meat, we will recruit new ones. You must return to the front line. They had no equipment, only a machine gun against a tank. There was no command. They were intimidated that if you did not return to the front line in this state, then we would shoot you. Or you will be deserters and get 15 years sentence»Taisia said.
According to her, the loss of the regiment, in which her husband serves, can be several hundred people.
“I know that after the fight 200 people survived. Before that, there was a whole regiment, what number is not clear, but exactly two times more», – said Taisiya, adding that about 70 people from the regiment are residents of the Tula region. Also in the regiment were residents of the Vologda, Moscow, Ryazan regions and other regions.
